Rangoli Chandel's Twitter account suspended after after Farah Khan calls her out for spreading religious hatred
Kangana Ranaut’s sister and spokesperson Rangoli Chandel is an avid Twitter user. She is known to speak her mind without thinking about the consequences and lands in controversies. Rangoli has once again landed in a controversy. Her Twitter account has been suspended after her controversial tweet on Moradabad stone-pelting.
On Wednesday, in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad, a team of doctors had gone to quarantine a few people in the area after two persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus. However, people started pelting stones on the doctors in which one doctor lost his life.
Rangoli Chandel, known for her outlandish statements, took to Twitter and wrote, “A jamati died of corona when police and doctors went to check their families they were attacked and killed, secular media, make these mullas+ secular media stand in a line and shoot them dead…”
Check out her tweet here:
She was soon called out by Farah Khan Ali and scores of other netizens for spreading hatred. Farah Khan tweeted, “Arrest this woman immediately for spreading vicious hatred and for calling of killings of a community @MumbaiPolice.” But Rangoli soon responded and even dragged Farah’s husband.
‘Sacred Games’ actor Kubbra Sait also reported her account and urged Mumbai Police to take immediate action against her. Filmmaker Reema Kagti too did the same.
I’ve blocked Rangoli and reported her to twitter.
But @MumbaiPolice @CMOMaharashtra @OfficeofUT This kind of hate mongering is irresponsible. Please look into it, and take necessary actions. https://t.co/WywccuZvKR— Kubbra Sait (@KubbraSait) April 16, 2020
Soon after the tweet went viral, Rangoli Chandel’s Twitter account was suspended.
Earlier this month, Rangoli had received a Twitter warning.
