The Randy Orton and Edge feud just got a little more personal on this week’s WWE Monday Night RAW. Randy Orton has made a name for himself in the WWE as a ruthless predator and he put that side on full display on WWE RAW. Following Randy’s beatdown on Edge, his wife Beth Phoneix had come to give a medical update on her husband. However, she was quickly interrupted by Orton.
Randy Orton finally gave an explanation for his actions. He said that by attacking Edge and putting him out of action, he was actually “saving” him. Orton said he was hindering Edge’s WWE comeback so he could be a father and a husband instead of an on-road superstar. He also added that Phoneix was an enabler and he loved Edge and their daughters more than her.
This angered Beth Phoneix and she slapped Randy Orton across the face. Following a stare off, Beth kicked Orton but was caught in an RKO instead. Many WWE superstars came to check on Beth Phoneix, following the vicious attack. Drew McIntyre called out Orton for a match.
The Rated R Superstar had made his in-ring debut at the Men’s Royal Rumble match back in late January 2020. His return was followed by the news that he had signed a new multi-year contract to wrestle on a part-time basis. Based on the way this storyline is progressing, Randy Orton may very well face Edge at WrestleMania 36 in April.
