Earlier, Randeep Hooda was supposed to work on a movie based on the Battle of Saragarhi, however, it was shelved when Akshay Kumar announced ‘Kesari’ as both the films were based on the great battle of Saragarhi. Now, in an interview, Randeep Hooda has reacted to his film being shelved.
Talking to Mumbai Mirror in an interview, Randeep Hooda said, “It hurt that the audience could not see what would probably have been a more authentic version with more real emotions of the story. That apart, you learn to move on. Through the journey, I learnt the principles of Sikhism and I’m a better person now.”
“It’s just an extra effort I put in for my character and there’s a sense of responsibility and respect when you are playing one who was for real. There’s also a fear that people will find out that I can’t act,” he added.
Later, the actor was questioned on whether he has watched Akshay Kumar’s film, ‘Kesari’. To which he responded, “Nope, it didn’t excite me much.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Sarbjit’ actor was last seen in Imitiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ alongside Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. Currently, Randeep has been shooting for ‘Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai’ in which he plays the main antagonist. The film features Salman Khan and Disha Patani in lead roles and is slated to hit screens this year in May during Eid.
Moreover, the actor will also be seen in the Netflix original ‘Extraction’ where he stars alongside Chris Hemsworth.
