Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan' is all set to return on TV again. Here's when and where you can watch the mythological series.
The mythological television series, ‘Ramayan’ is all set to premiere on-screen yet again. Last year, amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the government chose to re-telecast the 80s show on public demand. Now, yet again, the viewers can enjoy it with their families staying inside the house.
In 2020, the series broke several viewership records globally which includes setting the record for the most-watched TV show ever in the world, with 77 million viewers on 16 April 2020
The official handle of Star Bharat took to its Twitter, sharing the news, they wrote as: “पावन हो जाएगा मन जब प्रभु श्रीराम के होंगे दर्शन। देखिए #रामायण #ramayan हर शाम 7 बजे, STAR भारत पर।,” wrote in Hindi.

‘Ramayan’ is based on an ancient Indian Sanskrit epic of the same name and follows the journey of Rama who goes to an exile of 14 years along with Sita and Lakshman. The show was originally aired between 1987 and 1988 on DD National. It was created, written, and directed by Ramanand Sagar.
It starred Arun Govil as Ram and Deepika Chikhalia as Sita, with Arvind Trivedi performing Raavan and Dara Singh essaying Hanuman. The series basically ran from 25 January 1987 to 31 July 1988. Then, every Sunday, at 9.30 a.m. the show was aired on TV.
