Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reiterated that whenever Ram temple is constructed in Ayodhya, it would be done by “us” and no one else
Speaking at the Yuva Kumbh in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath said, “Some people were speaking about Ram Janmabhoomi… they were saying that they will only vote for the party that will build Ram temple. I want to assure you that whenever that happens and we’ll be the ones to do it, nobody else can do it.”
On the occasion, the UP Chief Minister also termed the Hindu culture as India’s only culture. He said, “India is a nation, and it has only one culture. The languages, castes, regions, eating habits, dialects may be different… From a political point of view there can be differences in India, but the country has only one culture, the ‘Hindu culture’. And, all of us should feel proud about it.”
Lambasting Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Yogi Adityanath said, “Those who used to consider Ram and Krishna as mythical, are showing off their sacred thread and revealing their gotra now to mislead people.”
Earlier, senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said one should not be in a hurry when a matter is pending in court. “But if people’s aspirations keep increasing, the government will have to take a call on it. As of now, the party is not thinking of bringing in an ordinance on the construction of temple,” he was quoted as saying by news agency Press Trust of India earlier this month.
