Rakul Preet Singh’s Film With RSVP Titled Chhatriwali?
Rakul Preet Singh plays a condom tester in Ronnie Screwvala's film Chhatriwali
Actress Rakul Preet Singh has a host of lucrative Bollywood projects in her kitty. She will be seen playing a co-pilot in Ajay Devgn’s film MayDay. The sultry beauty also plays a romantic lead in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Doctor G. Rakul will reportedly be seen in Ronnie Screwala’s new RSVP film too.
The makers have now locked the title for the quirky drama in which the De De Pyaar De actress plays a condom tester. Apparently the movie is called Chhatriwali. The film will be helmed by Marathi filmmaker Tejas Vijay Deoskar of Bucket List fame.
As reported by sources to Bollywood Hungama, “They plan to call it Chhatriwaali. Yes, the film will be titled so, since Condom is called chhatri in typical local language. Since Rakul plays the role of a condom tester, this film has been given the title. While Sardar and Grandson happen to be Rakul’s debut digital project, it was planned as a theatrical release initially. But Chhatriwaali is being ideated as a direct to OTT release, much like RSVP’s Dhamaka.”
Chhatriwaali is a quirky drama that also aims at destigmatizing the use of condoms. The bold film is a hilarious take on the taboo topic.
The movie was earlier offered to Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday. But Sara refused the film after the narration, Ananya turned it down as she felt that the subject of the film is quite bold for her.
On the work front, Rakul will be next seen in Sardar Ka Grandson along with Arjun Kapoor.
