Rajnath Singh’s jibe at Rahul Gandhi: RaGa will become ‘Ra-fail’
Taking pot shots at the Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the Gandhi scion will end being ‘Ra-fail’ considering the current war that he has waged with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Rafale deal. Singh also advised the Congress chief against using ‘derogatory’ remarks against Modi.
“It is not Rafale…It is Ra-fail (Rahul-fail)…He will be a failure. Rahul Gandhi knows the truth about the Rafale deal but is trying to mislead the people on the issue,” Singh was quoted as saying by The Indian Express. Singh was attending a meeting of the BJP’s Kerala state council. PS Sreedharan Pillai was ratified as Kerala BJP chief in the meeting.
The Home Minister aligned Pakistani leaders’ targeting Modi with Rahul’s jibe at the Prime Minister regarding the deal of fighter jets from French company Dassault Aviation. “You know the truth but knowingly or unknowingly you are talking in support of Pakistan,” Singh said.
Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Hussain’s has alleged that New Delhi cancelled the Indo-Pak meeting on the side lines of UN General Assembly just to divert the attention from Rafale “scandal”.
“We reject war mongering by ruling elite of India everyone know Indian Govt strategy is to use hatemongering against Pak basically to bail PM Modi from call for resignation post French jets Rafael deal and divert attention of Indian public from this mega corruption scandal,” Hussain’s tweet read.
Pakistan’s ex-interior minister Rehman Malik had also said if the Gandhi scion followed the “Jetgate”, he will be India’s next Prime Minister. “If you repeat a lie many times, people are bound to start believing it. That is what the opposition leaders are doing on the Rafale issue,” Singh stated.
Singh questioned the Kerala government’s apathy towards accepting the ‘Ayushman Bharat’ health insurance scheme and reminded of a plethora of development schemes that the Modi government has dished out in the last four-and-half years.
“It (Ayushman Bharat) is not named after Modi. US president Barack Obama had introduced a health insurance scheme for American people during his Presidency. It was called Obamacare. Here it is Ayushman Bharat. It is not Modicare,” he said. The union minister cropped up the “Modi Kavach” scheme launched by the government for people who cannot afford expensive treatment.
The Home Minister promised full co-operation from the Centre in rebuilding the state following the devastating flood. He asked asked the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to stop political violence though.
