It’s not a long wait as the teaser of Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 will be released on September 13, as stated by a report in DNA. It is an auspicious day because Ganesh Chaturthi will commence from this day itself.

The film is touted as one of the most expensive Indian films ever, The story revolves around the battle between the scientist and good robot played by Thalaiva Rajinikanth (Vaseekaran) and a menacing villain, Akshay Kumar who plays a rogue scientist named Richard.
The film also stars Singh is Bling actress Amy Jackson.
The avataars of the two actors where the Kaala actor looked like a robot and the menacing crow look of the Padman actor had got a lot of people waiting for the film to release. Earlier, it was scheduled to release in the beginning of the year but will now hit theatres on November 29.
In an interview to Rajeev Masand, musician AR Rahman said, “There are a lot of expectations riding on the film. What’s good about Shankar is this project, he is the right person. Anyone else would have broken by now. He is like an iron man held on to it saying “I won’t compromise. I want this quality. It’s in 3D, I just watched one song. No CG on it…mindblowing. Only this guy can do this. And there is a whole climax scene, which is incredible.”
The film is directed by S Shankar, co-written by B Jeyamohan and produced by Subaskaran Allirajahis.
