The Congress party on Thursday released its manifesto for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly elections, promising loan waiver for farmers, provide free education to women and jobs to youth.
Notably, State Congress president Sachin Pilot and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot released the manifesto in the presence of other party leaders in Jaipur. Speaking on the occasion, Sachin Pilot said, “Two lakh suggestions were received for the preparation of the manifesto.”
Pilot said that Congress, if voted to power, will waive the loans of farmers. He further added that Rs 3,500 monthly allowance will also be given to unemployed youths in the state. “Our government, if formed, will bear the entire education expenses of girls. We will finance their entire education,” he said.
“If the Congress is voted to power, we will make college and university curriculum industry-friendly. We will also form a board for the workers of the unorganised sector so that they are taken care of in a better manner,” Pilot noted.
Besides, Congress has promised to bring a legislation for the protection of journalists in the state. The party also promised to form an implementation committee for time-bound implementation of the manifesto.
The Assembly elections in Rajasthan will take place on December 7 and the results will be announced on December 11, along with four other states.
