Raj Thackeray: Offer Namaz at home, not on streets
Known for making controversial comments, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray on Friday raised the issue of Muslims offering prayers on streets and questioned the use of loudspeakers for the same. He suggested that Muslim people should pray at home, without disturbing anyone.
Addressing his partymen on the occasion of Guru Purnima in Pune, Thackeray said, “I always ask Muslims, why they need loudspeakers for azaan? Who do they want to show? If they want to offer namaz do it at home, not on roads.”
