Rahul Gandhi lashes out at PM Narendra Modi for 1 paisa fuel price cut
After fuel prices were being hiked for 16 days continuously, the government decided to give the common man some relief by slashing the petrol prices by 1 paisa. It left the common man and Congress President wondering what it was.
Rahul Gandhi, who has been on the offensive for quite some time now, decided to hit at Narendra Modi, this time as well. He took to his twitter handle to do the same. His tweet read “Dear PM, you have cut the price of Petrol and Diesel today by 1 paisa. ONE paisa!?? If this is your idea of a prank, it’s childish and in poor taste. P.S. A ONE paisa cut is not a suitable response to the #FuelChallenge I threw you last week.”
Dear PM,
You've cut the price of Petrol and Diesel today by 1 paisa. ONE paisa!??
If this is your idea of a prank, it’s childish and in poor taste.
P.S. A ONE paisa cut is not a suitable response to the #FuelChallenge I threw you last week. https://t.co/u7xzbUUjDS

Indian Oil had published that the petrol price was cut by 60 paise and diesel price by 56 paise in Delhi. But their company statement later read, “There was a technical glitch in posting the selling prices of petrol and diesel on our website today. The selling prices of petrol and diesel w.e.f 30th May 2018 have been rectified on our website.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a 3-ASEAN nation visit to Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. He will be addressing Indian diaspora in Jakarta, Indonesia today.
