COVID-19 Spike: Salman Khan’s Radhe to be postponed to Bakri Eid?
Radhe makers are keen on releasing the film on Bakri Eid, according to the latest reports. Due to COVID-19 situations, the theatrical release of this Salman Khan starrer is quite challenging
Salman Khan starrer Radhe is one of the most anticipated films from Bollywood. Makers have been looking forward to releasing it in theaters. However, owing to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread there is still uncertainty in the showbiz industry. Theaters have remained shut amidst surging COVID-19 cases. If not on Eid, Radhe might get a Bakri Eid to release hope the makers, according to the latest reports.
During the pandemic lockdown last year the crew worked on the post-production work for Radhe. Salman Khan on the other side stated that they will release the films in theaters only once everything becomes normal. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers are keen on bringing this film in May, on Bakri Eid. Talking about the film’s release plans, a source close to the development informed, “The makers of Radhe are very keen to bring it on May 13, however, given the present scenario, releasing it in May seems unlikely. They will reanalyze the on-ground scenario in the last week of April and then announce the postponement plans of Radhe.”
If Coronavirus cases drastically fall then only the makers might consider releasing. And theaters would have to start hosting a full capacity audience. It all depends on COVID-19 outspread situations. The source further adds, “If they miss out on Eid weekend, the next release date for Radhe will be the Bakri Eid weekend in July – That’s exactly what Salman meant when he said, ‘Yeh Eid Nai, Toh Agle Eid Par Ayenge’. The makers have kept that option open and given the uncertain times, multiple plans are been churned out at the moment. It might release on July 16, to reap the benefit of an extended weekend, or be a mid-week release on the occasion of the Bakri Eid holiday on July 20/21. A final call on the exact date isn’t to take, but they are looking at the Bakri Eid weekend to bring Radhe.”
Nothing has been officially announced by the actor nor the producers.
