After Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi, Ramya Krishnan is all set to essay the role of J. Jayalalithaa in the web series titled Queen. The story is about Jayaram Jayalalithaa a late Indian politician and film actress who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for over fourteen years between 1991 and 2016.
MX Player took to their official Twitter page and shared the first look from the web show titled Queen and wrote, “Queen is Coming! @meramyakrishnan @menongautham @Murugesanprasad

In the poster, Krishnan is wearing a white saree with red and black border, with her hair tied in a bun and red kumkum on her forehead.

The web series will showcase Jayalalithaa’s life into three sections. Firstly, it will focus on her life as a school-girl, a teenager and then the phase where she joined politics and took over MG Ramachandran’s place after his passing away.
Queen is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and Prasath Murugesan. While Gautham Menon has directed five episodes, Prasath has directed five as well. Queen will be available on MX Player. The release date has not been officially revealed yet.
On the other note, Ramya gained fame in the South industry. She was appreciated for her performance as Sivagami Devi in Baahubali and recently seen as the guest host of Bigg Boss Telugu 3.
