Actor, director and producer Raju Mavani passes away

Oct 31st has been a very sad day for Bollywood as two of the most loved filmmakers passed away on this day. After the shocking news of Champak Jain’s demise, we now have Actor, director, and producer Raju Mavani too losing his battle with Cancer. Mavani passed away on Thursday. The 62-year-old was suffering from a kidney ailment that was later diagnosed with cancer. He fought the battle for three years before passing away due to this disease yesterday.

Raju Mavani was seen in films like Salman Khan’s ‘Wanted’, John Abraham’s ‘Shootout At Wadala’, ‘Policegiri’, ‘Sarkar’, and others. His funeral will take place at 6 pm on November 1, at the Oshiwara crematorium.

He had launched actor Suniel Shetty with ‘Balwaan’. The movie that also featured Divya Bharti and Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. Mavani next bankrolled Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan and Raveena Tandon’s musical hit ‘Imtihaan’.

He later made his directorial debut with ‘Surakshaa’, which had the ensembled cast of Suniel Shetty, Aditya Pancholi, Saif Ali Khan, Sheeba, Divya Dutta, Monica Bedi, Kader Khan, Mukesh Rishi, and Tinnu Anand.

Raju Mavani was last seen in Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho.
