Bollywood Diva Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with Nick Jonas at Umaid Bhavan in Jodhpur, the gala affair was much loved by fans who just could not get their fill of the gorgeous picture from Nickyanka’s Hindu and Christian nuptials. But a dark cloud was shed over the entire fairytale wedding by an article in The Cut magazine who called the actress as a scam artist.
The Cut wrote that Priyanka tricked young Jonas, 26, into a lifelong commitment when all he really wanted was a fling.
The article garnered flak from Priyanka’s fans, her Bollywood colleagues and her family members who soon slammed the popular New York Magazine for its derogatory article.
Now Priyanka has responded to the article saying she did not want to react to such “random things”. Speaking to Hindustan Times, the newlywed said, “I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can’t disturb it.”
Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Priyanka’s brother in law Joe and his fiance too slammed the magazine. Finally the magazine deleted the article and issued an apology. The editor’s note stated, “Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s relationship that shouldn’t have gone up. We’ve received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. We want you to know that we hear you and we’re sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick.”
