On Priyanka Chopra’s father Ashok Chopra’s seventh death anniversary, the actress shared a throwback photograph of him with a heartfelt note along with it.
Sharing the monochrome picture, the Bajirao Mastani actress wrote, “We’re connected by heartstrings to infinity ❤
Miss you dad, every single day!”

Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away after battling cancer in 2013. He retired from the Indian Army in 1997 as Lieutenant Colonel. The actress and her father were very close, and she even has a tattoo inked on her right wrist that reads, “Daddy’s li’l girl.” which is her fathers actual handwriting.
A few days back, the actress also shared a photo of her late Dr. Ashok Chopra and mom Madhu Chopra in their army uniforms, her parents served as physicians in the Indian Army.
Sharing the picture, the Mary Kom actress penned down a heartfelt wrote that stated, “Both my parents served in the Indian Army… and maybe that’s why I feel such a kinship with military families all over the world. Today let’s think of all the fallen heroes that have given their lives in service to protect our freedom. #memorialday @madhumalati #LtcolAshokChopra”
During an interview with Zoom, Priyanka on how she missed her dad during her wedding, she said, “I missed my dad so much at that time. I missed his presence so much knowing that my mom would be doing it all alone, when it was all that my dad wanted and would keep saying ‘Main suit kab silwaau, main suit kab silwaau’. It was very prevalent in my brain at that time and this definitely help me heal.”
On the work front, the actress was last seen in Shonali Bose’s 2019 filmThe Sky is Pink along with Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, and Rohit Suresh Saraf.
