Prithviraj Sukumaran Tests COVID-19 Positive, Is Asymptomatic
Malayalam actor and director Prithviraj Sukumaran has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Malayalam actor and director Prithviraj Sukumaran has tested positive for COVID-19. Prithviraj was shooting for his next film Jana Gana Mana, co-starring Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film’s director Dijo Jose and other crew members are also at present in self-quarantine.
The actor took to social media to share the news with his fans. The Ayyappanum Koshiyum star took to Twitter to announce that he’s asymptomatic. He added that he is at present in home isolation.
Prithviraj wrote: “I am asymptomatic and am doing fine now. All primary and secondary contacts have been advised to isolate and get tested. Hoping to recover soon and get back to work ASAP. Cheers and thanks for the love and concern.”

Earlier this year, Prithviraj Sukumaran flew to Jordan for the shooting schedule of Aaadujeevitham. He and a 58-member crew were stuck in Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert for three months as flying was restricted due to COVID-19 Pandemic. The actor returned home to Kochi in May. He was in self-quarantine for two weeks, post which he met his family.
Prithviraj and his wife Supriya Menon are parents to a daughter named Alankrita.
