President Ram Nath Kovind is undergoing a check-up at the Army’s Research and Referral hospital in New Delhi. This is after he complained of chest discomfort. The 75-year-old complained of chest discomfort in the morning and was soon rushed to the hospital. He underwent routine tests and was put under observation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to President Kovind’s son to enquire about his health. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also visited RR hospital to enquire about the health of President Kovind.
In a tweet, the PMO said, “PM Narendra Modi spoke to Rashtrapati Ji’s son. He enquired about the President’s health and prayed for his well-being.”
Reportedly the President will stay in the hospital till all the diagnosis are completed. His condition is said to be stable.
“President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind visited Army Hospital (R&R) in New Delhi following chest discomfort this morning. He is undergoing routine check-ups and is under observation. His condition is stable,” a medical bulletin issued by Army R&R Hospital said.
Earlier in the day, President Ram Nath Kovind extended greetings to his counterpart Abdul Hamid and the people of Bangladesh, on their country’s 50th Independence Day.
