Popular VJ and Tamil actor Anandha Kannan passes away at 48

In an unfortunate turn of events, Anandha Kannan who was known as a Tamil film actor and television host, and also popularly known for his shows broadcast on channels Sun Network passed away due to cancer on Monday. Kannan’s death has come as a shock to many in the Tamil film industry.

Director Venkat Prabhu shared the shocking news on his Twitter and wrote, “A great friend, a great human is no more! #RIPanandakannan my deepest condolences (sic).”

He started his career in Singapore Vasantham TV as an actor and Host. Later he moved to Chennai and started working in Sun Music as a video jockey and he was one of the popular VJ of his time. He also did the Tamil movie ‘Adhisaya Ulagam’ and also acted as the lead in ‘Mullum Malarum’ with his co-host Prajin and ‘Ithanai Naalai Engirunthai’ which never released to the audience.

He also made a guest appearance in the movie, ‘Saroja.’ He was also famous for being the brand ambassador of Naturals spa & Sallon. He was also hosting the Savaal Singapore show in Mediacorp vasantham in Singapore which is a Tamil version of we are Singaporeans.
