Salman Khan foundation helps Pooja Dadwal recover from tuberculosis

Pooja Dadwal was suffering with tuberculosis but Salman Khan's Being Human foundation helped her to recover from her deadly illness

Salman Khan’s humanitarian efforts have helped one more person get back on their feet. Pooja Dadwal, Salman Khan’s co-star in Veergati (1995) was abandoned at the Sewri TB Hospital, by her family, when she was diagnosed with drug-resistant Tuberculosis.However, with the financial aid from Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation, Pooja Dadwal is has not only recovered, but is also returning to her hometown in Goa.

The foundation helped with expensive supplements and vitamins, which the doctors in TB Hospital have admitted that helped her regain her strength. The doctors spoke to Mumbai Mirror saying, how they will be ensuring that even the other TB patients get access to health supplements and multi-vitamins.

Pooja was under the care of Dr. Lalit Anande who said, “A majority of the patients who come to the TB hospital are from the economically weaker section of society, who cannot afford the various multivitamins and other supplements. But we will ensure that seeing Pooja’s recovery, we are able to provide them with these supplements as well.”

We hope that more patients like Pooja get recovered from such intense illness.
