Pranab Mukherjee, Former President of India, passed away on Monday. On Aug 10, he was admitted to the hospital after accidentally slipping and falling in his bathroom and was on ventilator support at the Army’s Research and Referral (R&R) hospital in Delhi, he has also been tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. However, his health condition worsened after developing lung infection.

The Government of India announced a 7 day period of state mourning between 31 August to 6 September, during the period of state mourning, the national flag will fly at half-mast on all buildings throughout India, where it is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment.
