Uttar Pradesh: Police constable sodomises minor in police station, suspended
Yet another horrific incident came to light in Uttar Pradesh, a Police constable posted with the UP100 services in Hathras has been suspended on Wednesday for sodomising a minor child on many occasions inside the Police station, Zee tv reported.
The incident took place in the Chamad Gate police station between September 9 to October 1. The victim is said to be an orphan and work at a roadside eatery near the police station.
The accused Police constable named Sanjesh Yadav, operating on PRV 1119 had gone to his eatery and befriended him. He had reportedly brought the victim to the Police station and physically abused him several times over the period of time, the boy alleged.
The incident came to light, when police constable went on leave on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Tuesday. The victim narrated his ordeal to senior police officers.
According to the report, probe has been initiated by the Circle Officer (CO) City. A medical examination has been conducted on the victim and an FIR lodged, the official added.
The accused, Yadav has been charged under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) and the SC/ST Act, the official told Zee tv, adding that the accused is on the run and a search is on.
The incident comes days after an Apple executive was killed by a Uttar Pradesh police constable.
