Pokémon Sword and Shield: How To Evolve A Farfetch’d Into Sirfetch’d
Farfetch'd now has a cool new evolution
The humble leek-wielding Farfetch’d now has a cool new evolution, allowing it to transform into Sirfetch’d. This might be good news to fans of the Pokemon but there is a definitive catch. This evolution can be a bit hard to bring about. First off, a Galarian Farfetch’d can only be caught in Pokemon Sword. Pokemon Shield has its own Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash. players who only own Pokemon Shield will have to trade for Galarian Form Farfetch’d.
This guide explains How To Evolve A Farfetch’d Into Sirfetch’d. Read on to find out how.
The first thing to do to accomplish this is to actually catch the pokemon first. Farfetch’d can be found on Route 5 or Giant’s Mirror in Pokemon Sword. Then, players will need to score three critical hits in the same battle for the transformation to occur. This might be a bit challenging as the trainer battles are not that tough and most of them don’t have three Pokemon. Players can farm Farfetch’d to improve their critical hit chances by getting a Leek item. Fighting other Farfetch’d is the easiest way to do this. Once found, equip the pokemon with a leek before heading into battle.
After this all done, players will need to find a Pokemon that can withstand three critical hits. Flying, Psychic or Fairy type Pokemon are the toughest and may just provide the solution. Route 3 offers plenty of flying Pokemon while Route 5 has the Psychic Wobuffet. Another alternative to this is fighting the trainer called Breeder Adrian located in the South of the Pokemon nursery on Route 5. Either method will take a few retries but once players land three critical hits, their Farfetch’d can evolve into a Sirfetch’d.
