On Tuesday i.e. November 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised a major questions at the BRICS Summit on terrorism and the countries which have been supporting them. During his virtual address to the 12th summit, PM Modi highlighted about the importance of calling out these countries which had been constantly supporting terrorism all across the globe.
During his speech, PM Narendra Modi highlighted that the reforms are required in the IMF, WTO, WHO. Not just that, he also said that the terrorism is world’s biggest problem today and we have to make sure that a list of countries which supports terrorism should be called out and these countries should be held responsible for their acts.
“Post world wars the entire world worked on a new world order and changed itself. The pandemic COVID19 has also given us a similar opportunity to develop new protocols in every field. This opportunity should be grabbed by the world if we want to develop resilience system for the future,” said PM Modi.
BRICS is an international forum organized by countries such as Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. These five nations conduct the meetings annually to discuss and produce solutions to the international problems set in the backdrop of political, social and economic issues. Currently, Russia is chairing the BRICS 12th committee and India will chair the committee next year.
