Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address nation through 'Mann Ki Baat' at 11 am today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation once again on Sunday, May 31. The PM will be doing so through his monthly radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’, at 11 am. This is on the last day of the fourth phase of the nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The PM is likely to focus on the relaxations being given from June 1.

The central government on Saturday extended the nationwide lockdown for containment zones with a high number of coronavirus cases till June 30. It had also announced the graded lifting of restrictions for the rest of the country.
On Saturday, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued new guidelines for phased re-opening of “all activities outside containment zones for the next one month beginning June 1.
The ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address comes a day after the one-year anniversary of the second term of the Modi government. The PM has released an audio recording highlighting the achievements of his government in the first year of the second term on Saturday.

The total number of cases in India stands at 1,73,763. The death toll stands at 4,971. Out of the total number of coronavirus cases, 86,422 are active cases and 82,370 have been cured/discharged/migrated.
