‘We shall win fight against COVID-19″ PM Modi responds to Donald Trump

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reacted to the United States President Donald Trump’s appreciation after New Delhi lifted the export ban on a Malaria medicine, saying that both India and US shall win the war against Coronavirus.
In his tweet, Prime Minister Modi said that India will do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against COVID-19.

Taking to the microblogging site, Narendra Modi wrote, “Fully agree with you President Donald Trump. Times like these bring friends closer. The India-US partnership is stronger than ever. India shall do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against COVID-19. We shall win this together.”
US President Donald Trump has called Prime Minister Modi ‘terrific’ for letting export of the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine to the US, seen as a possible cure for COVID-19. In his tweet, US President thanked not only PM Modi but also all Indian for the decision on HCQ and said that their help in the extraordinary times “will not be forgotten”.

India — which is regarded as the largest producer of hydroxychloroquine — has agreed to lift the ban on the export of the medicine to the US after Trump spoke to Modi on phone last week. According to reports, three Gujarat based companies would hydroxychloroquine tablets to the US.
“I want to thank Prime Minister Modi of India for allowing us to have what we requested for the problem that arose and he was terrific. We will remember it,” Trump told reporters at his daily White House news conference on coronavirus on Wednesday (April 8, 2020).
