Mann Ki Baat Highlights: PM Modi Addresses The Formers And Remembers Bhagat Singh A Day Before The Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the entire nation on Sunday in his radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He spoke about how the Farm Bills and the revocation of APMC will help farmers from all across the nation.   1. PM Narendra Modi began his speech addressing the nation wide spread COVID-19 virus and its impact on our daily lives. He talked about how the pandemic has changed the face of social and family gatherings.
  2. PM mentioned about the Farm Bills and the revocation of APMC that aims at helping farmers in entire nation. The farmers now have the power to sell their produce anywhere and to anyone and they have the freedom to grow any crop and to sell it at a price best suited to them. The farmers of the country will be able to avail these benefits as the APMC (Agricultural produce market committee) will be kept out of their transactions.
  3. The history of stories is as ancient as the human civilisation. Where there is a soul, there is a story. In India has been a rich traditions of storytelling. And we are proud to be denizens of land that nurtured traditions of Hitopadesha and Panch Tantra. I urge all storytellers to include all inspirational stories from the period of foreign rule as we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence. Especially between 1857 and 1947. We can introduce our new generation to them in form of stories,” added PM during his speech.
  4. The economic principles of Mahatma Gandhi, if we would have been able to understand their spirit, grasp it and practically implement them, then the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan would not have been needed today,” Prime Minister mentioned.
  5. Remembering the legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, he said, “Shaheed Bhagat Singh was a scholar and a brave person. Without worrying about his life, Bhagat Singh and his Krantiveer companions carried out such bold works, which contributed a lot to the independence of the country.”
  6. Another beautiful aspect of the life of Shaheed Veer Bhagat Singh is that he understood the importance of team work very well. His dedication to Lala Lajpat Rai or his association with revolutionaries including Chandrashekhar Azad, Sukhdev, Rajguru, personal pride for him was also not important,” said PM Modi.
