Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started his address to the nation in regards to the coronavirus outbreak and the efforts to combat it. The address began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that the world is dealing with a major problem currently. He also stated that citizens should not lower their guards against coronavirus and should be alert. Here are the 10 highlight points from the PM’s address:
- There is no vaccine or cure for this virus as of yet.
- The number of people declared positive has exploded.
- Social Distancing is critical and useful. Step out of the house only if absolutely necessary.
- Citizens above 60-65 should not venture out of the house for the next couple of weeks.
- Citizens should practice common man curfew. This Sunday, March 22, from morning 7 am to 9 pm, all citizens must follow janta curfew. Only those who are involved in providing essential services can get out.
- On March 22, at 5 pm express our gratitude for those working tirelessly to fight against coronavirus by clapping, by ringing a bell. Local admin is requested to blow a siren to inform everyone about this.
- Avoid going to hospitals for routine checkups
- Government has decided to form Covid-19 economic recovery task force to minimise the impact of Covid-19 on economy.
- Supply of essential commodities like milk, medicine and food won’t be impacted.
- Stay away from rumors and avoid spreading them.
