Seven-phased Lok Sabha elections in the country will begin on April 11 and end on May 19. Therefore, each and every political party have started campaigning with buckets full of promises and accusations on each other. Likewise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today launch the elections campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today with big rallies in Meerut, Jammu and Rudrapur. It is to be noted that all these seats in the three states of UP, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand will go to polls in Phase-1 of the elections on April 11.
On March 29, PM Modi is scheduled to address voters in Odisha, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Next on the cards is Bihar on 2 April, where he will address rallies in Gaya and Jamui, and West Bengal, where he will make stops at Kolkata and Siliguri. Reportedly, PM Modi is expected to address approximately 150 rallies by the time the Lok Sabha election concludes.

The counting of votes for the 17th Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 23. The tenure of the PM Modi-led centre will end on May 22. It is to be noted that in the year 2014, PM Modi-led NDA bagged 336 seats while Congress-led UPA managed to win only 59 seats.
