PM Modi attends reception party of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

Actress Priyanka Chopra and singer Nick Jonas tied the knot on December 1 and 2 as per Hindu and Christian traditions in the presence of family and friends at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.

The newlyweds are currently holding a wedding reception in Delhi’s Taj Palace hotel for their extended family and close friends. Apart from the family, leading designers, politicians and industrialists too are expected to attend the bash.

However, the big news is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the celebration. PM Modi paid a flash visit to the wedding reception and gave his blessings to the newly married couple.

It is to be noted that the wedding was preceded by a colourful, traditional mehendi ceremony and a Bollywood-style sangeet where the ‘team-bride’ and ‘team-groom’ displayed a show depicting the couple’s love story through songs, scenes and a skit.

Before Jodhpur, the couple hosted a puja at Chopra’s Mumbai residence last week. After the Delhi reception, the couple will hold a party for their Bollywood friends in Mumbai reportedly by December 8 or 9.
