Ahead of Assembly polls, PM Modi addresses Vijay Sankalp rally in Ajmer
For the upcoming state assembly polls in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday kicked-off the ruling BJP’s election campaign with his Vijay Sankalp rally.
Asserting BJP’s win in the upcoming elections, PM Modi said, “I see a sea of people here and it seems as though you have written the fate of Rajasthan.”
While addressing his audience in Ajmer, PM Modi accused the Congress of telling lies and creating fear. He said, “We tell them, let us debate on the work done by you and compare it to the work done by us. But they run away from any such discussion. All they are interested in is in telling lies, creating doubt and fear.”
PM Modi called himself a “karyakarta” while addressing the rally. He requested the people to stay away from the opposition, who were engaged in vote-bank politics. “This vote-bank politics is not just restricted to elections, but it destroys the entire system. Please don’t let such people get into any corner of the country,” he quoted.
The Prime Minister further clarified that there is a vast difference between vote bank politics and Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas. “For 60 long years, the Congress practiced vote bank politics which led to severe problems. Politics of development was never acceptable to Congress,” he stated.
PM Modi said that the ruling BJP government in the state believes in accountability. We are nearing the end of our term in Rajasthan and we are here to give you a report of all that we have done,” PM Modi said. “It is a matter of honour to be here in your service and to fearlessly give you an account of everything we’ve done for your benefit,” the prime minister noted.
PM Modi also noted that Congress leaders are busy serving one family. PM Modi also asked few questions to the opposition.
Here is what PM Modi asked:
Why is the Congress not fighting election on facts? Why are they indulging in spreading lies and abuses?
Surgical strike was a great achievement for our soldiers. How can Congress raise questions over that?
In the end, PM Modi said, “Rajasthan has decided to bring BJP to power once again”.
