After addressing the nation on March 19, 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation again today (March 24, 2020) at 8:00 pm on Coronavirus Pandemic. It is to be noted that the cases of Coronavirus cases rose to 511 in India with more than 10 fresh cases reported on Tuesday morning.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “I will address the nation at 8 pm today on vital aspects relating to the scourge of the pandemic COVID-19.”
In his previous address to the nation on Thursday, PM Modi had called for a “Janata Curfew” on Sunday, a 14-hour self-quarantine to fight the rapid spread of COVID-19.
Since his previous address, almost every part of the country has come under complete lockdown, with Maharashtra and Punjab imposing a curfew. According to reports, PM Modi on March 23 had an interaction with the industry and the media discussing the fallout of coronavirus or COVID-19, which has claimed over 14,000 lives worldwide and infected more than 3 lakh people.

Similar to other countries, Trains, Metros, Buses have been stopped and Airlines will be stopped flying from Tomorrow.
On March 23, PM Modi expressed his concern in a tweet that people were not taking lockdown very seriously. “Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request state governments to ensure rules and laws are followed,” he wrote in Hindi.
