In the franchise, Johnny Depp played the role of Captain Jack Sparrow and it is his characters which left people wanting for more. There have been numerous reports stating that Johnny Depp would not be reprising his role in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

As per the reports, Disney was contemplating to replace Johnny Depp after his domestic abuse allegations by Amber Heard, but things have totally changed as he is proved innocent in the court.
The sixth part of Pirates of the Caribbean 6 will be directed by Joachim Ronning, who had also helmed the previous part of the franchise. Disney has hired Ted Elliot and Craig Mazin (Chernobyl fame) to write some fresh new ideas for the 6th Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
The task of writing some fresh new ideas was earlier given to Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese but they left the project to work on a new Deadpool series. The release date of Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is still not announced but there are reports that the next sequel could come out in late 2021.
