Uttar Pradesh: Pictures of Sunny Leone, Elephant, Deer and Pigeon replace voters in Ballia voter list
The operation of updating of voter lists in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh produced some shocking results, with the pictures of animals such as Elephant, Deer, and Mouse also making it to the latest voter list published by the government on its official website.
A picture of Bollywood actress Sunny Leone against the name of Durgawati could also be seen in the list, which is being updated for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The images were reportedly placed beside the names of valid vloters from the district by a mischief data operator, who was upset with his transfer to a remote village.

“This was done by one of our data entry operators. He was recently transferred from a city area to a rural one. We have filed an FIR against this person and we are modifying these details,” Manoj Kumar Singhal, a senior officer with the Ballia district administration told PTI.
“Out of mischief, he pasted such pictures against the names of seven voters,” added the official.
Apart from the images, all the other details including the address and DOB were however in place. The two lists which were tampered with are of part 33 and 95 of the Balla Sadar Vidhan Sabha.

The errors were, however, corrected as soon as it was found out during the process of verification and a new updated list will be available on September 1.
