According To The Latest Reports, Payal Ghosh's Lawyer Reveals That She Is Ready To Withdraw Her Statement After Richa Chadha's Defamation Suit
South actress, Payal Ghosh has accused Bollywood filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. She claimed that he had assaulted her seven years back and she even filed a police complaint at the Oshiwara Police station in Mumbai. According to the latest reports, the actresses lawyer states that she is ready to withdraw her statement after Richa Chadha files a defamation suit.
After Payal dragged Richa Chadha’s name while she was talking about the harassment case, the petition was filed by Richa through her lawyer Saveena Bedi Sachar in the Bombay High Court. The defamation suit said that defamatory statements had continued despite Richa sending a legal notice to the actress earlier. Now, Payal is said to have confessed to the court that she is ready to withdraw her statement alongside an apology. As per a report by India Today, the actresses lawyer, Nitin Satpute has told the court during a hearing today, that his client is ready to tender an apology and withdraw her statement. “She is ready to settle the matter,” he said.
As per a report by Mumbai Mirror, Richa has demanded that the actress will not make any defamatory statements against her in the future. She has also demanded that the defamatory videos and tweets to be pulled down. And an apology to be issued on social media.
