Actress Payal Ghosh recently came out with her #MeToo story. The actress accussed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct on the pretext of giving her work. The actress has even filed an FIR against the Gangs of Wasseypur director at Versova Police station. Though the filmmaker has denied all the allegations, the investigation is on in this case.
On Monday Payal Ghosh held a joint press conference with Rajya Sabha MP Ramdas Athawale. During her press conference, Payal said, “I have risked my career to talk about this. It takes courage to speak about such a traumatic experience. Would request everyone to not fear and come out and speak.” The actress also claimed that she is facing a threat to her life and needs security for her life.
The actress will be visiting the Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Like Kangana Ranaut she too will request Y-category security for herself.
Payal’s lawyer Nitin Satpute tweeted saying, “Payal Ghosh Along with Her Lawyer Adv Nitin Satpute &Asso will visit to Hon. Governor @BSKoshyari at 12.30 pm on 29/9/2020 at Rajbhavan. Will Give Letter for Y Security to Payal Ghosh and Adv Nitin Satpute as their life is Under Threat. ”
Payal is unhappy with the Police’s speed over the development of the case. She has threatened to go on a hunger strike if strict action against Kashyap is not taken soon.
