Patralekhaa Worried About Her Parents In Meghalaya As The State Reported First COVID-19 Death

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, everyone is locked down at their home. Some are away from their parents and not being able to be with them as all the airlines and other transports are suspended due to the outbreak. Bollywood actress Patralekhaa is worried about her parents in Shillong since Meghalaya reported its first COVID-19 death. A 69-year-old doctor from a city hospital passed away on Wednesday.

The actress told Mumbai Mirror, “My parents are in Shillong and I have been panicking ever since. It’s not about just one case; it’s the people who have come in contact with the infected person.” She also said that news reports have made her paranoid.

“My brother is there too, so my parents won’t have to venture out for groceries, but I’m still worried,” she added.

She also said that besides physical concerns, the mental health aspect also needs to be addressed too during the pandemic. Patralekha said that she has never seen her father sit at home. “Even on Sundays, he’s working in his firm. Time slips by when you are busy, but not having anything to do adds to the stress,” she said.

During the lockdown, she has learned cooking watching YouTube videos, she watches online content, has got back to reading now and finished Conversations with Mahavatar Babaji. She has also reconnected with her cousins, aunts and long-lost school friends.
