After garnering good reviews from all across, Amazon Prime series, ‘Pataal Lok’ landed in the controversy in no time, and its making headlines for all the wrong reasons now. The show which is co-produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma has been slammed for promoting the bold content through one of its scenes, which is offended by few people.
BJP MLA, Nandkishor Gurjar from Loni in Uttar Pradesh has filed an FIR against Anushka Sharma for producing the web series. He has also written a letter to information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javdekar and urged for the ban of the streaming of the web series ‘Paatal Lok’ from OTT platforms. In one of his statements, he can be seen accusing Anushka of sedition and he also asks Virat Kohli to divorce her. Gurjar stated that the cricketer is a patriot and he has represented India.

As per the reports, Anushka Sharma was also sent a legal notice by Viren Sri Gurung, a member of the Lawyers Guild for allegedly using a casteist slur in her show. The show has managed to garner success in just a few days of its release and features Jaideep Ahlawat, Neeraj Kabi, Abhishek Bannerjee, Gul Panag, Swastika Mukherjee in the key roles.
