After Lucky Ali, Mukesh Khanna, Paresh Rawal becomes the latest celebrity to fall prey to a death hoax. On Friday, a tweet on social media was doing viral that stated that the Hera Pheri actor is no more. Soon after, Paresh Rawal quashed the fake news with a witty tweet.
The tweet claimed that the Welcome actor had died on Friday morning at 7 am. Reacting to the news, the actor shared a screenshot of the death-hoax post and stated: “…Sorry for the misunderstanding as I slept past 7am…”

The actor’s witty response has been received well by the fans. Many Twitter users shared hilarious memes of his famous dialogues from his iconic movies Hera Pheri, Welcome, and more.
In March, Paresh Rawal had tested positive for COVID-19 after getting the first jab of the vaccine. He shared the news on his official Twitter handle and said: “Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19. All those that have come in contact with me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested.”
On the work front, Paresh Rawal was last seen in Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan. The actor is set to appear in Hungama 2, a comedy film by Priyadarshan having an ensemble cast headlined by him, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash.
