Pankaj Tripathi’s powerhouse acting has always taken us by surprise every single time he appears on the screen and he never fails to make an impression. The actor will be soon seen in Kabir Khan’s cricket-drama film, 83, in which he will be essaying the role of PR Man Singh. Now, in an interview, he spoke about his bond with his co-stars and said that he would take advantage of his seniority and admonish them.
“I’d take advantage of my seniority and my role to admonish them sometimes, and if we packed up early, I’d regale them with stories and my extensive knowledge,” he told Mumbai Mirror.
Further, he also said that to understand his character better, he spent some days at Man Singh’s Hyderabad home. “Not too many people know anything about him, but for the 14 players, he was the hero,” revealed the actor.
The film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev, along with Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Jiiva, Boman Irani, Nishant Dahiya, Sahil Khattar, and Amrita Puri. Directed by Kabir Khan and jointly produced by Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala. Co-distributed by Reliance Entertainment.
Earlier, it was announced that 83 will release on Christmas this month, however, it got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will release in the theatres countrywide in the first quarter of 2021.
