On March 7, Sunday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry sat down for a 90 minute interview with the American host Oprah Winfrey for the first time since they quit their duties as members of the British royal family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also made some shocking revelations that took the internet by storm.
However, this did not go well with the veteran actor and talk show host Simi Garewal as she slammed Meghan. Taking to her Twitter handle, Simi wrote, “#OprahMeghanHarry I don’t believe a word Meghan says. Not a word. She is lying to make herself a victim. She is using the race card to gain sympathy. Evil.”
Here’s the tweet:
Soon after, Twitter users slammed the actress for not supporting another woman especially on the occasion of Women’s Day. Many also questioned Garewal’s realism to make such bold claims.
Coming back to the interview, Meghan spoke about having suicidal thoughts during her stay in the royal family and how the palace did not offer her any help. Further, she also accused the royal family of raising concerns about how dark their son Archie’s skin. Prince Harry also said that the Royal Family cut him off financially after he quit his duties.
The couple will be welcoming their second baby, a girl soon. The announcement was done last month, February 14.
