One Plus 6 Gets Oxygen OS 2

One Plus released its first Oxygen OS Open Beta for One Plus 6 last week. This first beta release, like the two Android P Betas that One Plus, has already released, which is based on Android pie. Now the fastest growing company One Plus has introduced Oxygen OS Beta 2 to bring more improvements to Wi-Fi stability, background power consumption, performance and many more.

OnePlus mention that those who use One Plus 6, have already flashed an Open Beta 2 they will receive the new build via on OTA. This new Oxygen Beta 2 help to provide optimisation for the pocket mode reducing accidental touches and improved UI for verification code such as OTP to help users to find what they want.

Folks at XDA Developers note that the scrolling/touch latency issues that occurred in the first OxygenOS Open Beta have been fixed with the latest issue. However, a few issues that crept in the first OxygenOS Open Beta, for instance, third-party apps issue, Google Pay service not functioning properly persist in the OxygenOS Open Beta 2 as well.

As One Plus first beta was released last week, the update brought a new UI for Android P along with gesture navigation and system improvements. The update also included integrated OnePlus customisation features, accent colour customisation support and a new “Do Not Disturb” mode with adjustable settings. The update also brought a new Gaming Mode 3.0 with added text notification mode and notification for third-party calls.
