Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be re-released in theaters with New Footage

Quentin Tarantino’s Once upon a time in Hollywood will be re-released in theaters with 10 minutes of scenes added. The film already had a lot of things in the 161-minute-long runtime. Once Upon a time in Hollywood has been a commercial success since its release on July 26.

Apparently, Sony Pictures announced on Wednesday that now Once upon a time in Hollywood will run in more than 1,000 theaters in the U.S. and Canada beginning this Friday. Tarantino’s 1969 Los Angeles fable film will now have a running time of three hours. On Friday, the film now will yet again hit the theaters according to the report by Variety.

Once upon a time in Hollywood stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in lead roles. Lately, the movie is anticipated to be a major Oscar contender. Also, the new footage has four new scenes that will take the movie’s runtime to two hours and fifty minutes.

In a statement, Adrian Smith Sony’s president of domestic distribution said that the viewers had shown a lot of support for the film and that they were looking forward to giving them a second opportunity to watch the film as it was supposed to be seen in the huge screens with more sights and sounds of the sixties from the Quentin Tarantino as an additional treat. The film however will not be released in China.

Besides Leonard and Brad, Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning, Damian Lewis, Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, as well as Luke Perry are the cast in the film. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood released in the US on July 26.
