After not getting a look in in the first XI in the two ODIs, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were back while Mohammed Shami was dropped from the ODI fold when the selectors declared the squad for the last three ODIs against the West Indies on Thursday.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been axed following mediocre show in the first two ODIs giving away 81 and 59 runs in his allotted 10 overs. Fellow pacer Umesh somehow managed to hold on to his place in the limited overs version despite conceding 64 runs and 78 runs in the two ODIs he turned out in India colours.
Both Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar were in good form during the Asia Cup 2018 which was held in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The third one-dayer is scheduled to be played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on October 27. Cricket Club of India’s (CCI) Brabourne Stadium will host the fourth game on October 29 while the last ODI will be played at the Greenfield International Stadium (Thiruvananthapuram) on November 1.
