Graphic chip maker Nvidia partnered with Softbank Group Corp and LG Uplus Corp to deploy cloud gaming servers in Japan and Korea. Nvidia partnered with LG for Korean region and Softbank for Japan.
Google and Microsoft had already announced their Game Streaming services where Google will be soon revealing a lot more on GDC 2019. Micorsoft Project xCloud is a dedicated platform for streaming popular games like Forza on any platform like an Android smartphone or a PC.
According to the source Reuters, Nvidia will be using its proprietary chips in the data centers to deliver more realistic gameplay. Nvidia at a conference in San Jose, California announced it created a “pod” a setup of its graphic card that can support upto 10,000 gamers streaming games at once. Nvidia also shared Softbank and LG Uplus will use the cards for services to let gamer’s stream games over upcoming 5G network.
Gaming streaming is a new cloud based platform a leading tech giants are trying to bring first, a service where independent to platform users can enjoy direct game streaming on mobile phone, tablets and pc.
