No Man Sky VR edition is on its way, as part of Summer Beyond Expansion the game is getting a VR touch. Those who already own the game will not have to pay additional for the VR update. It is compatible with PSVR and Steam VR, it also supports cross-platform where users without VR can also interact with users who are playing it in Virtual Reality Mode.
After adding the VR update you can continue playing the game from where you had left, there is no need to start a new one. All you need is to connect a VR headset and start playing. Your friend who does not own a VR headset can still play with you.
Grab the joystick and thruster to fly your starship over an unexplored alien planet as you peer out of the cockpit at the view below. Reach into your backpack to grab your multitool, touch it to switch to terrain manipulation, and carve out intricate shapes with unprecedented control. Play in multiplayer and casually wave to your non-VR friends or fist bump your PSVR peers.
Through the official blog, the VR update was announced along with a launch trailer you can watch above. The VR gives a new way to players to explore different planets and parts of the universe. The visuals offer immersive gameplay experience. The developer also hinted about the third major feature but did not clarify what it will be.
