Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat passes away at private hospital in Hyderabad
Drishyam director Nishikant Kamat has passed away on August 17, 2020. The talented director was admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad. Kamat was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Hyderabad on July 31. He has been diagnosed with Chronic liver disease and other secondary infections.

As reported by sources, Kamat had suffered from liver cirrhosis and now it has relapsed. As his condition got worse, the director-actor was rushed to the hospital. He was under the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of senior consultants.
The hospital statement released a statement earlier that read: “He has been diagnosed with chronic liver disease and other secondary infections. He is in the intensive care unit for continuous monitoring under the supervision of a multidisciplinary team of senior consultants comprising of Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, Critical Care, and others. His condition is critical but stable.”
Kamat, 50, made his directorial debut with the Marathi film ‘Dombivali Fast’ in 205. Kamat also played a negative role in John Abraham-starrer’s ‘Rocky Handsome’ in 2016. He is best known for Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Drishyam’.
