Varun Tej’s sister and Telugu actress Niharika Konidela and Venkata Chaitanya Jonnalagadda got engaged on Thursday evening in an intimate and private ceremony in a star hotel in Hyderabad, the ceremony was attended by their immediate friends and family, keeping in mind the COVID-19 restrictions.
The ceremony was attended by Chiranjeevi, her cousins Ram Charan, his wife Upasana Konidela, Allu Arjun, his wife Sneha Reddy, Sai Dharam Tej, Srija, Kalyaan Dhev and more. The actress’s entire family posed for a picture, which immediately went viral on social media.
Varun Tej took to his social media, to congratulate her sister and her brother-in-law, on their engagement, he captioned the photo as: “And this happened!! My baby sis gets engaged!

Speaking about the private ceremony, Prabhakar Rao, the groom’s father, spoke to Hyderabad Times and said, “We decided to have a low-key engagement ceremony keeping the current situation in mind. Apart from immediate family members, we did not invite anybody else. It was a small yet beautiful ceremony.”
Rao also said that the family is thinking of having a wedding next year, “We are thinking of having the wedding sometime in February or March next year. However, the muhurtham is not fixed yet and once that is finalised, we will announce the date.”
In June, the actress announced on social media that she was set to get engaged to JV Chaitanya.
