Nickyanka Wedding: Groom Nick Jonas breaks into a Bhangda before the ceremony

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas exchanged vows as per Christian tradition on December 1, 2018 at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. The intimate affair had family and close friends in attendance with Papa Jonas escorting the beauty down the aisle. After the Christian wedding the couple tied the knot as per Hindu tradition on December 2, 2018 once again in the presence of their family and friends.

Ahead of her big fat Punjabi wedding, Priyanka shared some stunning pictures from their mehendi and sangeet ceremony and we are crushing over the beautiful photos.

One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part of the pre wedding rituals for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love.  Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together. And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. As per a report in Pinkvilla, NickYanka tied the knot as per Hindu tradition and the Groom Nick looking dashing in his traditional wedding attire arrived on a ghodi with the baaratis who were also dressed in traditional outfits. He even performed the bhangra before exchanging varmala with Priyanka Chopra.

And while Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have officially become man and wife, having married as per both Hindu and Christian wedding rituals, we hear that people in PeeCee’s hometown decorated Priyanka’s ancestral home and even burst crackers and exchanged sweets. The Mayor of Bareilly, Umesh Gautam hosted a cultural programme at a private universe to celebrate Priyanka’s wedding. A gesture much appreciated by Peecee’s mother Madhu Chopra who said that she is proud of the people and will soon send them a personal thank you.
