Regardless of religions, cast and creeds, millions of people have been protesting against the recently approved Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Registry of Citizenships (NRC) throughout the country.
Not only common people but also professors, activists and celebrities across the country took to street to protest against CAA and NRC. What caught everyone’s attention is newly wedded couples, who hold a placard anti-CAA and anti-NRC slogans written over it.
The photos of newly wedded couples from Kerala protesting against NRC and CAA were shared by a Twitter user Sankar Das. As Christmas is around the corner, revellers carolling on the streets are also using the festival to highlight the issue. In the photos, people can be seen dressed as Santa holding ballons with anti-CAA slogans written on it.

Notably, the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed by President Ram Nath Kovind on December 12, 2019, which led to massive protests from the people throughout the country.
